Press Release: Design Excellence Award Winners 2024

ASID Illinois Chapter Honors Chicago’s Top Designers at Design Excellence Awards

2024 Winners Recognized at the Celebration of Design

CHICAGO (Sept. 19, 2024) – On Thursday, Sept. 19, the Illinois Chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID-IL) held its annual Celebration of Design and Design Excellence Awards. The 2024 Design Excellence Award winners were announced during the celebration at the Worklife Meetings at theMart.

ASID-IL President Lisa McManus discussed the important role of design, designers, and ASID in positively impacting the built environment and the human experience.

The Design Excellence Awards recognized design professionals who are either members of ASID or IIDA Illinois Chapters, as well as registered interior designers in the state of Illinois. Designers submitted their entries in over 46 categories, including residential, contract, and product design.

A panel of distinguished interior design professionals from other ASID chapters across the country reviewed the entries and selected category winners based on lighting, scale and proportion, color and composition, design creativity, function, and solutions appropriate to the design criteria. All entrants also included an IMPACT statement—an explanation of how the project affected the users’ lives or livelihoods.

Event sponsors included Presenting Sponsors theMART and Artist Frame Service, Modern Luxury Interiors Chicago, Moen, Vicostone, Sherwin Williams, Apex Wood Floors, Mosaicos Tiles, and Matt Mansueto Photography. Modern Luxury Interiors Chicago served as the event’s exclusive luxury media partner.
