Thank you to the moderators and panelist who provided a great Interactive Advocacy Forum on April 22, 2021

Susan provided the opening address and discussed the importance of taking and passing NCIDQ, registering as an interior designer in Illinois and ongoing advocacy participation as an experienced professional once you have passed NCIDQ and/or become an RID. She explained how it all works together and being an advocate on an ongoing basis at all stages in your profession.

Aisha discussed the ASID IL Government Affairs committee and several ways to get and stay involved with local advocacy efforts.

Advocate in action workshop ” Next Level Advocacy”

Bryan Soukup, ESQ is Vice President of Government and Public Affairs for ASID

Bryan provided an overview of recent Illinois legislative activities and engaged experienced professionals in advocacy efforts and provided a roadmap of ongoing and future Illinois efforts. He helped participants identify ways in which they can best participate and help to advance the legislative efforts in Illinois.
