Thank you for watching Mimosa Monday. We will return in the fall!

Thank you for joining us!

We had another fabulous Mimosa Monday last month and discussed how lighting can be used to help your home with resale. Our featured industry partner was the designer favorite lighting source, Circa Lighting.  In addition to sharing useful lighting tips and design information, our panelists shared some of their favorite light fixtures from Circa! Here they are:

The reason I selected the "Alberto Large Two Tier Chandelier" is, LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT.
I was first awestruck by the original ALBERTO GIACOMETTI chandeliers at the Picasso Museum five years ago. Diego Giacometti, brother of the the famous sculptor, Alberto Giacometti, was hired by the first curator of the Paris Picasso Museum to build the chandeliers & furniture for the museum in 1982. Diego worked w/his brother Alberto & Picasso as a team to create & fabricate the furniture & chandeliers that would complement the Art.   To say the chandeliers enhance the experience of the beautiful architecture & the ART is an understatement! I can not imagine a more perfect fusion than Picasso's Art, Classic Architecture and the Giacometti fixtures. LOVE LOVE LOVE. I now have this chandelier in my living room in Florida!

The Spur Chandelier is more a piece of art than a lighting fixture! Enough light to be functional and stunning to look at!  It has LED modules and produces up to 2700K. I am partial to the aged brass finish!

The reason I selected the Circa Lighting Calais Large Semi Flush Mount is that it is truly stunning!  The glass and beads shimmer and sparkle.  It is both elegant and ethereal at the same time and will elevate a space!  The gilded iron finish is slightly burnished and the perfect color.

The Balthazar Semi Flush fixture from Alexis Hampton in is a favorite of mine because it’s a statement piece that can go from sugar to spice. I love it as a playful piece in a room with stripes and polka dots. I love it as an edgy accent in a room with a rock-n-roll vibe. You can really capture your clients personality with any of the finishes but I’m partial to the darker gun metal finish which says “expect the unexpected”.

My favorite Circa fixture is actually a recessed lighting fixture, The Element 3” LED Adjustable Downlight, Wood Flangeless version, in square.
I am drawn to this recessed fixture for its complete integration into the home.  We often think of lighting, even recessed lighting, as something added or applied to the home to provide decoration and function.  With this fixture, the light generated is seen as emanating from the home itself, for me, this changes the dynamic of both the light and the home, the home now is perceived as giving off light and it takes on a more sophisticated nature.
I selected the square over the round as the wood flangeless version is integrated typically into linear boards, the square and its straight sides speak the same geometric language as the boards, again alluding to their kinship.
